Lib Dem candidate thanks voters

Jordan Lane, who stood as the Liberal Democrat candidate for the Lichfield City North Division of Staffordshire County Council, and the Lichfield City Council ward of Curborough, says:

"I want to thank the 499 constituents who voted for me. Though we didn't win this time, don't despair. Your voice has been heard. Each vote for me and for the Lib Dems represents a belief in a different kind of politics and a demand for change. It has been a privilege to stand as your Liberal Democrat candidate in this election. I am truly humbled to have had your trust. This isn't the end of the journey. We Liberal Democrats will continue to work and promote the values we share and believe in in order to secure a fair deal for us all.
