Cllr Paul Ray (Lib Dem for Chadsmead) has had an active role in the development at Wheel Lane/Grange Lane and has been in contact with the developer throughout.

Paul Ray had a key role in making this development happen with this derelict building. There had been a legal issue and he brought the council to the table to resolve this.
'
The developer is a local business, Keon Homes, and Cllr Ray recently met with Head of Build, Simon Wilson and Cllr Ray said following that; "I am delighted to now see that the development of twelve three-bedroomed homes is complete and a number of new occupiers have already moved in. The old derelict pub had been an eyesore for too long so this new development is transformational for the local area and such really good news for residents.

Cllr Ray added "I have also had lots of compliments about Keon Homes from local residents and how they have taken real care to reduce the inconvenience for local residents while the construction has been ongoing. I would like to publicly thank Keon Homes for that."
