Our successful AGM
Lichfield, Tamworth and Burton Liberal Democrats held a very successful Annual General Meeting on 11th November, in Lichfield, during which we celebrated the achievements and growing strength of the LibDems, both nationally and locally. We also looked forward to the forthcoming by-election in the Armitage with Handsacre ward of Lichfield District Council, where we have a strong candidate, Morag Maclean, who previously lived in Handsacre for twenty years.
Jamie Christie (on the left) was elected as chair of the local party with effect from 1st January, taking over from Patrice Moreau (right), who steps down after two years due to growing work commitments. Members present thanked Patrice for his hard work and commitment over a very hectic period which included a General Election (as well as a Parliamentary by-election in Tamworth) and County Council elections.
Other officers were also elected together with members of the Executive Committee – everyone is looking forward to a busy and exciting 2026!
