Patrice Moreau. Lib Dem candidate for Needwood Division in the Staffordshire County Elections on 1 May 2025
Result-driven and experienced. A clear choice for Needwood Forest.
Hello. My name is Patrice Moreau. I am running for the upcoming May 1st Council elections. I would be honoured to earn your trust and your vote. I am committed to tackle the issues that matter most to all of us here in Needwood Forest while making our community stronger, more inclusive and fairer.
Though I originally come from Canada, I have had the privilege of calling Needwood Forest home for almost 15 years now. My roots are firmly planted here in East Staffordshire, and as a proud dad and long-time advocate for local causes, I am deeply invested in our community’s future.
I have worked in the private sector for over 30 years. I have held several managerial roles and developed a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities that come with taxation, regulations, budgeting and long-term planning, while delivering sustainable quality services. My work has also taken me around the world. I have seen firsthand what happens when local governments turn their back on the poorest and those who need our support. This shouldn’t be happening in this country. Every person deserves a fair deal. I believe we can – and must - do better in East Staffordshire. At the same time, I fully understand the importance of responsible management and what it means to be entrusted with limited fiscal resources. Striking the right balance between fairness, quality services and fiscal responsibility is not just possible, it is essential. That is why I am running.
I am proud to support the Liberal Democrats because it is the Party with both feet on the ground – not the party of powerful lobbies and shadowy special interests. It is the Party who believes local issues should be solved by local people for local people. I believe in listening, not shouting. I am here to work with a team to achieve results, not grandstanding and making empty promises. I believe in getting things done, within our means, and delivering meaningful changes.
I ask for your trust and for your vote on May 1st. I look forward to the opportunity to serve and work hard for you and our community.
Thank you
